The 2014 Corvette Stingray is definitely an example of history-in-the-making. While bringing added features to such a legend-worthy model may seem unnecessary, Chevy proves that even perfection can be improved upon.

Body Style

The 2014 Corvette continues the tradition of a streamlined, aerodynamic body while adding features like a removable roof and carbon fiber hood to help lower the center of gravity. Precision engineering such as an aluminum space frame contribute to making this Corvette the lightest and stiffest, to date. For the first time in Corvette history, the 2014 coupe and convertible models both feature an identical frame structure. Also contributing to the vehicle’s rigidity are other lightweight materials and a groundbreaking chassis. With increased performance and reduced noise, this premium racing machine is designed with both style and speed in view.

Body style combines with the powerful engine capabilities of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. Exterior vents produce increased downforce as well as advanced front-to-back ventilation, complementing the completely balanced powertrain designed for optimal racing prowess. A 6.2L LT1 V8 with the ability to go from 0-60 in under 4 seconds, the 450-horsepower engine boasts 450-lb.-ft. of torque. The transaxle layout provides optimal weight balance, and the compact engine design further lowers the center of gravity. The optional dry-sump oil system with g-force cornering and 7-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching add to the amazingly powerful technology under the hood.

Options

Your 2014 Corvette driving experienced can be a fully customized, thanks to 5 selectable driver modes. The optional Z51 Performance Package with Performance Traction Management increases the customizable possibilities for different roads and situations. You can choose from a variety of cluster display appearances, steering feels, brake intervention modes, and torque reduction options, as well as available Magnetic Selective Ride Control™ characteristics.

Performance

The 2014 Corvette provides many options and additions to its long-time tradition of sporty, race-worthy style. Performance features outnumber those of previous year models, including the addition of the following:
• Adaptive steering (with enhanced responsiveness)
• Michelin ® Pilot ® Super Sport Zero Pressure tires (developed exclusively for the Corvette to optimize grip and handling)
• Electronic Limited Slip Differential (promoting increased stability and responsiveness)
• Brembo ® brakes (providing ideal stopping power)
• Third Generation Magnetic Ride Technology (for stiffened suspension and minimized movement)

Interior

High-quality materials like aluminum framing add to the many ways in which the 2014 Corvette Stingray shows that it’s the real deal. Classic styling such as real hand-stitched leather seating round out the deal, making this racing machine a comfortable and classy ride sure to impress even the most discriminating passengers.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray is an all-around impressive machine that does more than give a good impression — it truly delivers with power and performance what it promises from the outside, in.
