Improving the Look & Feel of a Space With Perforated Lighting Fixtures

October 20, 2010 By Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

For today’s leading light manufacturers, function, style, and quality are all considered when choosing and designing light fixtures. When considering lighting for a restaurant, office, business, store, or even a home, perforated metal lighting fixtures can offer function, style, and quality that is appealing and attractive.

Consider the functionality of the light fixture. The manufacturer wants the fixture to reduce costs while still properly lighting the desired area. Perforated metal lighting fixtures can offer comfortable direct or indirect lighting in a variety of settings including offices, stores, restaurants, and even the home. A custom designed perforated metal lighting fixture can also reduce glares on the computer screen in an office setting. Typically, perforated metal lighting fixtures are relatively inexpensive to install and recent trends have made them surprisingly affordable.

The style of a lighting fixture can greatly affect the level of lighting. Perhaps you are looking to place cone shaped fixtures over each table in a restaurant for an intimate, yet comfortable dining experience. Or, you may choose to install perforated metal sconce fixtures that offer a modern, sleek style while lighting one area of a room. The shape and size of the lighting fixture can turn a dark, gloomy room into a bright, inviting area or it could turn an office full of computers into a room filled with glares and shadows. Be sure to take all of these factors into consideration when designing your lighting fixtures.

Manufactures will also consider the quality of the material that is used. Hendrick Manufacturing, a leader in perforated metal production, uses high quality materials to produce lighting fixtures that are designed to the customer’s specifications. When considering installing perforated metal lighting fixtures, be sure to choose materials that will by long lasting and serve the desired function.

The customer can be as creative as he/she wants. Because the material used is often lightweight and flexible, light fixtures made out of perforated metal can take on a variety of shapes and sizes. Materials typically range from .010 thick to .750 thick with perforation hole sizes from .020 to 6.000. You can customize the size and pattern of the perforation holes to fit your desired function. Perhaps you want round, square, octagon, rectangle, or even diamond shaped holes. Hendrick Manufacturing works with architects and designers to create lighting fixtures that are attractive and appealing in the desired setting.

You can even have the perforated metal lighting fixtures custom painted to fit your decor. Perhaps you are attempting to create that intimate setting in a restaurant. You may consider painting the cone shaped fixtures a deep brown or red. Or, if you are looking to turn a gloomy room into a cheerful place, you may choose a bright blue or even yellow. Consider your existing decor, style, and theme when custom designing your lighting fixtures.

Although they serve a very important function, lighting fixtures do not need to be boring or plain. Hendrick Manufacturing will custom design lighting fixtures that will add to your existing decor to enhance employee and customer experiences.
