How to Choose the Pool Liner That’s Right for You – Part 4

September 20, 2018 By Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

The last category in our article series on how to determine which pool liner is best for your pool (read the first article here) is the category of texture. Though texture may seem like a minor consideration, it can greatly affect the safety and comfort of your backyard swimming experience. Here are some considerations to bear in mind when you choose which texture you want for your new pool liner.

Advantages of Textured Liners

Do you have young children? If so, a textured pool liner makes great sense. The same is true if your pool is going to be used by anyone who is aging or has a disability that would make them a bit unsteady on their feet. Textured pool liners offer an extra layer of protection from slipping when it comes to entering, exiting, and walking around in the pool. This is true whether your pool will be accessible by stairs or if you have a zero entry pool.

With a zero entry pool, no matter how often they’re warned not to, children may be especially tempted to run into the water. A textured pool liner can make children a bit less likely to trip, fall, and get hurt when they’re entering the zero entry pool’s shallow end. You can continue the same liner texture pattern across the entire bottom surface of the pool and along any wading/seating areas built into the sides of the pool.

Different Styles of Textured Pool Liners

You can choose from a wide selection of textured pool liner styles to get the look and feel you’re hoping to achieve for your pool. There are a number of attractive choices available in various price ranges to meet the needs and budgets of different pool owners. Listed below are a few of the more popular choices on the market.

1. Nature-Themed Textured Pool Liners

Whether you like the look of palm branches blowing in the breeze, swirling ocean waves, sand, or pebbles, you can find pool liners that will portray these and many other natural themes.

2. Mosaic-Themed Textured Pool Liners

If you prefer geometric patterns, you can find textured liners in this impressive style. They come in a whole host of colors from white to vivid blue to dark gray, with tiles that appear in neat rows or complex patterns.

3. Solid Color Textured Pool Liners

If you like the smooth, uncomplicated look of a liner that doesn’t have a pattern, but you would still like the slip-resistant protection which textured liners have to offer, you can have the best of both worlds. Just choose a solid colored pool liner that’s designed to include a subtle texture built right into its surface. Regardless of which style of textured liner you choose, you can have extra peace of mind knowing that your liner is built to promote maximum slip resistance.

From texture to color, to pattern, to thickness, there are many factors that come into play when choosing a pool liner. Hopefully, this series of articles detailing different aspects to consider when choosing your pool liner will help you determine the liner that’s right for your pool.
