This series may give you some of the ideas you’ve been hoping to find!
Slide Into Summertime Fun
Almost nothing will thrill your kids or grandchildren more than adding a water slide to your pool. You can go with a simple, conventional slide design, or you can choose a fancy spiral tube slide. Rather than fighting over pool toys and floats, the youngsters can stay happy for hours climbing up the slide ladder and careening into the water. You’ll get to relax and watch them while you sip your lemonade. Or perhaps you can get in on all the action yourself. Adults love to slide into the pool too!
Slide Safety Tips
If you do decide to add a slide to your pool, make sure to install it according to the manufacturer’s instructions or hire a professional to put it in. You always want to keep everyone as safe as possible around the pool. Also, make sure to establish some clear rules for using the slide, such as only one person being allowed on the slide at a time and allowing plenty of time for sliders to swim away from the bottom of the slide before the person behind them is permitted to take their turn sliding.
Of course, make sure no one is allowed to climb up the slide itself! Any kid who has been to a school playground should be familiar with slide safety rules, but reminding guests of proper slide behavior or even posting the rules in a prominent location is a smart idea.
Other than slides there are several ways you can take your pool to the next level. Check out the rest of the articles in this series (see Part 2) to find out how you can make your backyard pool even more of a hit this summer season.
