Flash Drives for Physical Fitness

July 6, 2011 By Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

If you consider yourself an athlete of a devotee of physical fitness, we understand that you take your health pretty seriously. Maintaining optimum physical health is of the utmost importance to you, and your focus on physical fitness probably infiltrates nearly every aspect of your life. Or perhaps you aren’t an exercise fanatic, but you realize that good physical health is a requirement for living a long and happy life. Perhaps you’ve never considered technology as a means to help you stay healthy, but it’s time you do so. USB flash drives present a number of potential benefits to dedicated athletes, hopeless workout junkies, and even those average individuals who just want to get in better shape.

For example, USB flash drives are a great way to help you organize your workout schedule. Whether you’re obsessed with maintaining your workout routine or you’ve just started hitting the gym, fitness experts recommend that you keep a workout journal. This journal eliminates the guesswork of what exercises to do during each workout. Too often, people arrive at the gym only to be faced with a scenario like this one: “I know I was on the treadmill yesterday, but did I do 20 minutes or 40? And how many reps did I do on the lat pulldown machine?” By keeping track of your workouts exactly, you can make the most of your hard work. USB flash drives are the most convenient and portable way to do so.

Flash drives can also be used to plot your meals. Time and time again, studies have shown that those individuals who keep track of their meals and snacks lose more weight and maintain better overall health than those people who do not keep a food journal. Analyzing your caloric intake is an essential part of staying healthy. Writing your food journal by hand works, too, of course, but tracking your meals with a computer and storing your food journal on USB flash drives instead has a number of advantages:

First, if you’re keeping track of your meals on a computer, you can use the internet to determine the exact number of calories in each of your meals, snacks, and drinks. No more inaccurate guessing! Also, flash drives are much smaller- and therefore more portable- than traditional journals. This means you can track your meals anywhere where there’s a computer, which, in today’s day and age, translates to “virtually anywhere.” Finally, keeping your food log on a flash drive keeps your information private. A traditional journal can easily be read by anyone nosy enough to pick it up, and for many people, this would be a problem. Some people are embarrassed about others knowing exactly what food they’ve consumed in a day, and others feel sensitive about other people knowing of their endeavors to lose weight. Flash drives are less enticing to nosy intruders; these people would probably just assume the drives contained boring work files.

Tracking your workout routines and caloric intake are two extremely effective ways to help you stay healthy, and USB flash drives are the best way to store that information. Not only are flash drives portable, durable, and convenient, but they can also help you maintain your privacy. And privacy becomes extremely important when you’re dealing with such sensitive information as food consumption, BMI, and body weight. USB flash drives are a great resource for helping you maintain your physical health.
